pink and white stitches

I suppose this should be an introductory post. But, then again I am never very good at intros. So I'm just going to go ahead and write what I want right now.

I started knitting less than a year ago when my mom went to Canada with her siblings and their mother to visit another brother in Calgary. I suppose I could have not bother with a going away present but I want to give her something for the trip. I remember having a pieces of yarn, the kind that we sew on the sides of our notebooks after we took out the metal springs... and I just finished a book and the main character knits. :) so I thought, why not?

I learned in youtube, and used barbeque sticks as needles! It turned out ok. I gave it to my mom, but my grandmother loved it. I wish a had a picture of it. Anyway, I bought real knitting needles afterwards because I enjoyed it so much. I even learned how to crochet. I still have so much to learn about the crafts, but it's all in fun. Maybe someday I will make things I can sell.

At the moment I'm making a top for my daughter. It's still halfway done. I love the pink and white combination.
